This fume hood features a one-piece shell molded of translucent polyethylene with a clear acrylic panel that slides on inside tracks. It can be set in an open, closed or intermediate position and offers excellent visibility into the chamber. The front opening is 36cm high x 88cm wide (14 1/2" x 34 1/2"). When in the closed position, the door will remain open slightly to facilitate continuous air flow. Fume Hood has rounded inside corners to faciliate easy cleaning and allow optimal air flow pattern. Stack O.D. is 15cm (6"). An exhaust system capable of drawing 350 cfm (free air) is recommended. Overall dimensions are 107 x 51 x 76cm (42" x 20" x 30" ) high. Shipping weight 25.5 kg (56 lbs.).
The Molded Fume Hood with Baffle is similar to the standard fume hood but with the addition of a linear, internal baffle across the rear of the shell. Baffle inclines forward, leaving space beneath for airflow to sweep the deck and space above, capturing maximum vapor content and keeping a uniform airflow across the face of the hood.
