Paraplast® and Paraplast® Plus Tissue Embedding Media

Handy pellet form melts rapidly at 56°C. A refined mixture of highly purified paraffin containing plastic polymers of regulated molecular weights that provide better tissue infiltration and superior quality sections than other mediums. Clearing is complete and without stainable residue.
For general tissue embedding, use Paraplast®. Paraplast® greatly minimizes tissue compression due to sectioning and gives brittle, difficult-to-cut tissues an elasticity that produces excellent wrinkle-free sections. For large or problematic tissue, use Paraplast® Plus, which contains a small percentage of dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) for faster tissue penetration. Packed in 1kg. bags, eight bags per case.
