Boekel's Orbitron II™ Platform Rotator features variable speed and tilt for gentle, low foaming agitation and uniform mixing of samples. Speed adjusts from 6 to 23 orbits per minute. The platform size and tilt angle of 0° to 23° allows the rotator to accept a wide variety of vessels.
It is ideal for a variety of applications including blotting procedures of all kinds; staining and destaining electrophoresis gels; mixing blood samples; coupling affinity chromatography media; mixing tubes of different diameters simultaneously; mixing a broad spectrum of test tubes; and rocking agglutination cards. The compact size and small footprint conserve valuable bench space, yet the platform is still constructed from rugged steel, with notches to accomodate bungee cords if necessary. The thin power cord easily passes through incubator door gaskets. The Orbitron II™ can be used in incubator and cold room conditions, from 4°C to 40°C.
The rotator comes with a dimpled pad and a flat, non-slip pad. Additional accessories are available. Dimensions with platform (L x W x H): 12 x 12 x 10". With two-year manufacturer warranty.
