By Corning®These 384-well polystyrene plates conform to standard microplate footprint and dimensions. Available in black or white. Flat-bottomed with square well top. Designed to reduce well-to-well crosstalk during fluorescent assays. Recommended working volume of up to 5 to 40µL. Without lids. Non-sterile. White walled plates enhance luminescent signals and have low background luminescence and fluorescence. Black wall plates have low background fluorescence, minimal light scatter and reduced crosstalk.
Nonbinding (NBS™) surface is a Corning® proprietary treatment technology used on polystyrene microplates to create a nonionic hydrophilic surface (polyethylene oxide-like) that minimizes molecular interactions. Ideal for reducing protein and nucleic acid binding at low concentrations, and increasing assay signal to noise. High binding surface binds medium (>10kD) and large biomolecules that possess ionic groups and/or hydrophobic regions. Binding capacity is approximately 400 to 500ng IgG/cm2. Ideal for immunoassays.
