Converter Plates for Transilluminators

Maximize transilluminator capabilities by using a converter plate to convert the transilluminator's 302nm UV wavelength to different wavelengths for visualizing a variety of gels. Place the specially designed plate on the transilluminator filter surface. Plexiglas® is mounted in a scratch-resistant metal housing for durability. Handles are situated on two sides of the plate for easy handling and rubber seals stop the plate from sliding. Two plates are available for covering transilluminator filter surface sizes up to 21 x 26cm or 20 x 40cm.
UV/White Converter Plates are specially designed to convert ultraviolet radiation to white light for viewing protein gels, Coomassie blue stained or silver stained media. The plate’s uniquely phosphored Plexiglas® assembly converts the UV radiation via a white diffuser.
Visi-Blue™ Converter Plates convert a transilluminator’s ultraviolet radiation to 460-470nm for viewing various stained gels including SYBR Green, SYPRO orange and GFP. An amber filter is included for use in photographing these stained gels.
UV/UV Converter Plates are also available to convert 302nm to 365nm UV. Excellent for preparation and gel excision work.
