Two-Place Kjeldahl Distillation Units

The Kjeldahl Distillation Apparatus is designed for mounting on a base cabinet or table and is an ideal addition for laboratories that require a separate distillation station. This durable unit provides macro distillation for nitrogen determination of one or two samples up to five grams. The Distillation Apparatus has a sturdy welded framework that is epoxy coated to provide corrosion resistance. It accommodates 500 or 800mL flasks (not included). The 600-watt curved heater elements are specifically designed to cradle Kjeldahl flasks and the distillation manifold is equipped with seamless stainless steel tubes, cooling water temperature gauge and remote control flow valve. No fittings or gaskets are required eliminating a source for leaks. Individual infinite control knobs direct the variable input from 20-100% of capacity.
Includes 2 connecting bulbs and 2 delivery tubes. The connecting bulb separates liquid from vapors prior to the vapors entering the condenser and effectively traps caustic mist that may carry over to the recovery solution. The bulb has a dual baffle built into the cylindrical bulb that provides double protection against liquid caustic leakage. Because the baffles are not fused to the glass, the bulb is long lasting. The delivery tube features a long neck, round perforated bottom and thick walls to help eliminate pressure fluctuations in the distillation phase. Tube construction is one-piece borosilicate glass.
Inlet and outlet water connections are 3/8" NPT. Connection to water source with tubing and fittings is required (not included). Supply line must be 5/16" ID minimum.
