The Whatman Carbon Cap™ in-line capsule device is ideal for applications involving compressed air lines, vacuum pumps, or instrument exhaust emissions. Use for water, chemical, and reagent purification; removal of noxious odors, oil mists and contaminants; decolorizing and oil clarification.
Carbon Cap features a polypropylene housing with hose barb connections to connect to a 12 mm ID hose. The capsule contains a high purity granular activated carbon and has a pleated glass microfiber HEPA filter at the base of the unit that retains 99.97% of all particles greater than 0.3 µm. Maximum pressure 60 psi (4.1 Bar).
Available in two sizes. Surface area (activated carbon) of Carbon Cap 75 Capsule is 26,000 m2; surface area of Carbon Cap 150 Capsule is 82,000 m2.
