Whatman™ Centrex™ Centrifugal Microfilters

These disposable microfilters feature a two-chamber design. Samples introduced in the upper chamber are driven by centrifugation through the central membrane filter into a receiving tube. These units yield up to 99% recovery when used with a standard benchtop centrifuge. Preassembled, presterilized and constructed of chemically resistant polypropylene, the color coded filters with 1.5 or 5.0mL receiving tube allow fast identification of membrane type and size. Nylon, cellulose acetate (CA) and nitrocellulose (NC) membranes are available in 0.2µm to 0.8µm pore sizes to meet most separation needs.
