Stainless steel filtration funnel allows for rapid, high-pressure filtration of bacteriological or cell culture media, as well as food fluids, viscous oils, hydraulic fluids, and lubricants. The funnel has a capacity of 200mL and permits a maximum operating pressure of 14kg/cm2. The filtration funnel takes 47mm filters; its actual effective filtration diameter is 35mm, providing an effective filtration area of 9.6cm2.
Constructed of type 316 stainless steel with a type 304 stainless steel support screen, PTFE gaskets, and a Viton® O-ring. Funnel connection is 1/8"-27 NPT pipe thread; a hose barb adapter allows connection to 1/4" I.D. tubing. The funnel stem accepts 3/8" I.D. tubing, or a standard stopper. Maximum operating temperature is limited by the Viton O-ring (204°C), the PTFE gaskets (288°C) or by the filter being used. Provided nonsterile; autoclave with dry heat, if desired. Dimensions (L x diam): 16.1 x 5.8cm.
