Polytetrafluoroethylene membranes are laminated to a polypropylene support for strength and ease of handling. Biologically inert, these filters are compatible with acids and with most aggressive solvents. Because PTFE is hydrophobic, they are ideal for venting applications. Pre-wet with a solvent such as methanol for filtration of aqueous solutions.
