Spectra/Chrom® Fraction Collector
For low pressure LC, HPLC, or RBLC applications
For use in any application involving measurement collection of liquid fractions. As a standalone unit or used with an external detector to fractionate based on time, volume, or drops, the CF-1 collector has the features of a reliable mechanical collector plus peak detection and collection capabilities. Large LCD displays instructions and help messages. Collection programs can be stored internally for later use.
Because the drop head remains stationary and tube racks slide, sample splattering is eliminated. The rack holds up to 174 tubes (12 or 13mm). Fewer tubes can be used without losing sample because of a tube-position encoding system that causes the drop head to skip over any empty positions.
Used with an optional diverter, the collector has built-in peak detection capabilities that allow collection of only those peaks that are of interest. Peaks can be detected by the absolute detector response or the slope of the response with virtually no baseline drift.
Connectors are supplied for size 8, 12, and 14 tubing and TTL communication circuitry for compatibility with other manufacturers' equipment.
