Transferpettor® Positive Displacement Pipettes

These positive displacement pipettes are excellent for use with viscous, foaming, high-vapor-pressure and other problematic liquids. The piston of these pipettes directly expels the media from the tip, wiping the tip walls completely clean, allowing for highly accurate, reproducible results with difficult media. Because there is minimal residual wettting, tips do not need to be discarded after use. These pipettes work in a broad range of applications. They are designed for use with viscous solutions up to 20,000 cSt, high-density media up to 13.6 g/cm3 and high-vapor-pressure media up to 500 mbar, including alcohols, acetone and hydrocarbons. Materials in contact with pipetted media are high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. Pipettes include one tip and seal, a seal mounting/removing tool, a performance certificate and an operating manual. Additional polypropylene tips and polyethylene seals are available separately.
