Sterile polypropylene tubes with star base and polyethylene screw caps. Designed for cryogenic storage of all types of cells or other specimens, this system conforms to the IATA requirements for the transport of diagnostic specimens.
- Non pyrogenic according to the LAL test
- Non-toxic, USP Class VI
- Sterile (SAL 10-6) according to ISO 11137
External thread recommended for mechanical freezers and gas phase of nitrogen.
NOTE: Not recommended for use in the liquid phase of nitrogen.
* Warning - Do not use CryoTubes in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen unless correctly sealed in Nunc CryoFlex™ Tubing (Cat. No. 82-343958). Improper use may cause entrapment of liquefied nitrogen inside the vial and lead to pressure build-up, resulting in possible explosion or biohazard release. Use appropriate safety procedures as outlined in the Nunc Cryopreservation Manual when handling and disposing of the CryoTubes.
