BioClave™ Autoclave Ovens
Despite their space-saving exterior dimensions, BioClave™ Autoclave Ovens feature stainless steel chambers that are surprisingly large, accommodating a variety of liquids, media, instruments, glassware, plasticware and other common laboratory items. A mechanical and electrical safety interlock prevents the door from being opened until the pressure has reached zero PSI.
With large digital displays and fully automatic operation, all segments of the cycle (fill, sterilize, exhaust, and dry) commence and run to completion by simply pressing the start button. An optional thermal mini-printer is also available for providing a record of sterilization parameters for the 18L and 28L models.
BioClave Mini™ Autoclave Oven: The 8L BioClave™ Mini is preprogrammed to meet basic sterilization needs. Although the temperature can be selected at either 121°C or 134°C, the sterilization time is fixed. The economical BioClave™ Mini is the ideal choice wherever benchtop sterilization is required and space is limited.
BioClave 18™ Autoclave Oven: The 18L BioClave™ offers three cycle options (standard programs), which are preset for use with liquids, wrapped instruments, or unwrapped instruments/plasticware. A fourth option, "Dry Only," is also available for additional drying time to be added to the end of a cycle. For special applications, requiring variations in cycle parameters, all settings on the BioClave™ 18.
BioClave 28™ Autoclave Oven: With similar operation to the BioClave Mini and BioClave 18, the new 28L model features an increased chamber with a diameter of 32cm, making it the only BioClave model capable of sterilizing 1 and 2 liter flasks and bottles. Despite the larger chamber size, the BioClave 28 is still relatively compact and suitable for benchtop use.
