Available in both semi- and ultra-micro sizes, BRAND UV-transparent disposable UV-cuvettes are a popular alternative to quartz cuvettes in DNA, RNA, and protein analyses as well as many other applications between 220nm and 900nm. They eliminate the tedious maintenance, cleaning, and contamination risk of quartz cuvettes. They also feature superior chemical compatibility and may be used with most polar organic solvents, acids, and bases, including acetone, butanone, DMF, and concentrated hydrochloric acid.
All cuvettes are manufactured from a scratch-resistant plastic and fit most commercial spectrophotometers and photometers. They are grouped by mold cavity number to maximize consistency between cuvettes and reduce variation in extinction coefficient. Ultra-micro sized UV-Cuvettes are available with 8.5mm and 15mm window heights and may be used with sample volumes as small as 70µL. Use the semi-micro size for sample volumes between 1.5mL and 3.0mL
