The DURAN® YOUTILITY® bottle system is a new generation of glass laboratory bottles for use in a wide and diverse range of scientific research applications.
Each YOUTILITY bottle has many features that significantly improve handling and use. Specially shaped gripping zones on both sides of the bottle permit easier and safer handling, and a glass thread makes opening or closing bottles significantly faster while still remaining fully compatible with DIN GL 45 closures and other accessories. A slimmer bottle shape allows a more optimal use of limited space in autoclaves and laboratory refrigerators—bottles can even be conveniently stacked horizontally on their sides. A pre-defined labelling area is compatible with the dedicated self-adhesive YOUTILITY bottle labels. The newly designed ceramic print layout on the bottle clearly indicates the nominal volume as well as showing an easy-to-read graduation scale for the fast determination of the contents.
A range of sequentially sized bottles are available in 125, 250, 500 and 1000mL volumes in both clear and amber glass. Bottles are molded from DURAN® borosilicate 3.3 for very good chemical resistance and high temperature resistance.
The GL 45 Bottle Tags are available in several colors and can be easily and securely attached around the bottle neck, even with the screw cap in place. A graspable tab makes them easy to remove with bare or gloved hands. Silicone Bottle Tags are chemically robust, heat resistant, fully autoclavable and totally reusable.
