Immunoblotting Whole extract of rat liver was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Monoclonal Anti-ARG1 Clone:ARG1-3 (Cat. No. SAB4200508). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A2304) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Lanes 1. 4 μg/mL antibody 2. 2 μg/mL antibody 3. 2 μg/mL antibody + ARG1 immunizing peptide
Immunoprecipitation Monoclonal Anti-ARG1 Clone: ARG1-3 (Cat. No. SAB4200508) was used to immunoprecipitate ARG1 from HEK-293T cells overexpressing human ARG1 whole cell extract. Detection antibody: Rabbit Anti-ARG1 (Cat. No. SAB4200510). Lanes 1. Positive control: whole cell extract 2. 5 μg antibody 3. 10 μg antibody 4. Negative control: 5 μg non-relevant antibody

Application: Monoclonal Anti-ARG1 antibody produced in mouse has been used in immunoblotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Arginase hydrolyzes arginine to ornithine and urea. Arginases have been implicated in many disease processes, including vascular diseases, pulmonary diseases, infectious diseases, immune cell dysfunction and cancer. Inherited deficiency of ARG1 enzyme results in argininemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by hyperammonemia.

General description: Monoclonal Anti-ARG1 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma ARG1-3 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide. Arginase (ARG)1 gene, codes for type I isoform of arginase. ARG1 is a cytosolic enzyme expressed predominantly in the liver as a component of the urea cycle.
Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminal region of human ARG1, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence differs by 3 amino acids in mouse ARG1 and by 4 amino acids in rat ARG1.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
