MultiDoc-It™ Imaging Systems
By UVPThe MultiDoc-It™ Imaging System offers simplicity, efficient functionality and affordability for gel imaging by combining an upgraded high resolution 14.7 megapixel digital color camera housed in a sturdy metal darkroom.
The camera is controlled by UVP’s exclusive capture software which loads on the user’s computer. See live preview of gels, plates and colonies on the monitor and save images in multiple file formats. The easy to use software offers many image capture, image enhancement and reporting tools and supports compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
The darkroom features overhead white light, a wide access door and UV safety switch plus a unique UV blocking viewport for viewing gels without opening the door. The darkroom attaches to a compact UV transilluminator (variety of filter sizes and UV wavelengths available). M-20V and M-26V transilluminators feature high, medium and low variable intensity settings. LM-20 and LM-26 include two UV wavelengths in one unit. Side access doors are available on MultiDoc-It™ 3DR models for moving or cutting gels without opening the front door.
For thin layer chromatography (TLC), order the MultiDoc-It™ without a transilluminator. This version includes two UV lamps for overhead ultraviolet illumination.
System includes: DigiCam 110 digital color camera (specifications subject to change), exclusive capture software (Windows XP), Ethidium Bromide filter, darkroom and choice of transilluminator. Computer and monitor sold separately.
Dimensions: 14 W x 12.7 D x 19 H in. (356 x 323 x 483mm)
Optional Acessories:
Gel Tray: UV transmitting tray can be used for moving gels to the transilluminator. Tray protects transilluminator filter surface from scratches. See Cat.No. 49-85-0007-05.
Thermal Printer: Document archive quality, 256 gray scale images. Print low cost prints in seconds. Matte and glossy paper types are available. See Cat.Nos. 49-89-0069-06 (printer), 49-89-0038-01 (matte thermal paper) and 49-89-0174-01 (glossy thermal paper).
Doc-ItLS Analysis Software: Designed as an easy to use package for analysis of gels. The software offers many image enhancement tools, analysis functions (including accurate finding of lanes and bands, generating histograms, calibrating Molecular Weight standards, measuring angles and lengths), and supports 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. See Cat.No 49-97-0185-02.
UV Lamps: Add the UVGL-25 UV Lamps for epi 254/365nm UV illumination. Two lamps are recommended for illumination from two sides of the cabinet. Clip the Converter Filter (49-76-0310-01) onto the lamp to convert the UV to 460-470nm blue light. See Cat.Nos. 49-95-0021-12 (115V) and 49-95-0021-10 (230V).
Converter Plates: Position the plate over the filter area of the transilluminator.
- UV to White Light Converter Plate converts the UV to white light for viewing protein gels, Coomassie blue stained or Silver stained media (Cat.No. 49-38-0191-04).
- UV to UV Converter Plate converts 302nm to 365nm (38-0325-01) for preparation and gel cutting work (Cat.No. 49-38-0325-01)
- Visi-Blue™ Converter Plate 38-0200-04 converts 302nm UV to 460-470nm Visi-Blue™ light for use with various stains including SYBR Green, SYPRO Orange and GFP (Cat.No. 49-38-0200-04).
