Biochem/physiol Actions: Benzenesulfonamide is an inhibitor of human carbonic anhydrase B. Benzenesulfonamide derivatives are effective in the treatment of proliferative diseases such as cancer. It is used in the synthesis of dyes, photochemicals and disinfectants.
