General description: Poly(ethylene oxide) is a non-ionic hydrophilic linear polymer. It can be prepared by catalytic polymerization of ethylene oxide. Owing to its hydration and swelling properties, it is widely used in controlled drug delivery systems and bioadhesive materials.
