General description: | Lithium hydride is a simple neutral heteropolar diatomic molecule. It liberates hydrogen upon heating it to temperatures above 500oC. Lithium hydride, like lithium aluminum hydride, exhibits a high gravimetric hydrogen storage capacity. LiH is known to have large specific heat and latent heat of fusion.5 |
