Application: | Selenium was a component in the Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle Medium, used for the cell culture of alpha mouse liver (AML)-12 hepatocyte cell line. Se was also employed in a water based synthesis of glutathione-capped cadmium selenide quantum dots (GSH-CdSe QDs). 3Se is used in the synthesis of CdSe, which is consequetively used to modulate the photoresponse of quantum dot solar cells by varying the size and shape of semiconductor nanostructures. |
Features and Benefits: | Our 99.99% pure selenium powder with particle size less than 150 microns is useful in electronics, chemical testing, and research where purity matters most. ✔ Consistent quality ✔ Ultra high purity ✔ Available at scale: bulk and pilot scale |
General description: | Selenium powder is a fine, powdery substance made up of small particles of the element selenium, often produced by the reduction of selenium oxide. Selenium powder is grey or silvered-colored and may have a metallic sheen. This product is passed through a 100-mesh sieve, indicating that the particles are small and have a diameter of around 150 micrometers or less. In addition, this product is highly pure and only has a very small concentration of impurities, making it suitable for research applications, chemical testing, and the production of electronic components. |
