Application: | Trimethoxy(octyl)silane (TMOS) is used to functionalize the surface of silica to promote the adhesion with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) for use in the fabrication of acrylate nanocomposite based photonic devices. It can be coated on silica fiber based epoxy to improve the hydrophobic characteristics and to protect the surface from corrosion. |
