Application: | For best results, agitate for 20 minutes prior to use. Films cast from propylene carbonate will require heat to dry. Photocurable inks can be formulated by adding acrylate monomers and photoinitiators (i.e. DMPA). Propylene carbonate will remain in the polymer. Functional compounds can be coupled to the oligomer via reactions at the methacrylate group. |
Application: | PEDOT-Meth can be used as a plasticizing membrane in the fabrication of ion-selective sensors and light emitting diodes. |
Application: | Product can be blended with additional acrylate or methacrylate monomers and crosslinked to make polymer blends. Custom molecules can be synthesized by bonding functional compounds, via the methacrylate groups, to the conducting EDOT oligomers. |
Caution: | Store this product at room temperature (do not refrigerate or freeze). Some settling will normally occur. Agitate, sonicate, and filter prior to use. A plug of glass wool in a pipette can be used for easy filtration. The shelf life of this product will vary depending on how it is stored and handled. Product should be discarded if heavy aggregation occurs, or if sonication / filtering are inadequate to produce a good casting solution. |
Features and Benefits: | End-capped structure renders the conducting oligomer PEDOT dispersible. The methacrylate groups offer the potential for crosslinking, or addtional chemical functionalization. Completely dried Oligotron(TM) tetramethacrylate via the methacrylate functional groups. |
