Application: | Sodium molybdate can be used as: • A precursor to prepare MoS2-based electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries with high initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE), high-rate performance, and long cycle life. • An electrolyte additive in energy storage devices such as supercapacitors, to prevent the corrosion of stainless-steel collectors and enhance the performance. • A source of molybdenum to synthesize MoS2 quantum dots that can be used in fluorescence sensors for ascorbic acid detection. |
General description: | Sodium molybdate is a white powder that is an environmentally friendly non-oxidizing corrosion inhibitor and Mo source which is widely used in rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors. |
