Application: Methyl-β-cyclodextrin (M-β-CD) can be used as a reactant to prepare ternary inclusion complex of diclofenac (DCF) in the presence of monoethanolamine (MEA). This complex improves the percutaneous absorption of DCF in human skin. It can also be used to form an inclusion complex with olanzapine (OLP) to increase its solubility for efficient drug delivery.
