| Application: | Methyl-β-cyclodextrin is a macrocyclic compound that can form inclusion complexes with a number of guest molecules. It shows higher solubility in aqueous solutions and greater solubilizing and complexing power compared to the parent β-cyclodextrin. MβCD can be used to enhance the enzyme activity and enantioselectivity of subtilisin enzyme in organic solvents. |
