Application: 2,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHBA) can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of resorcinol-based N-benzyl benzamide derivatives , hydroxylated and prenylated xanthones , and mycophenolic acid.
It can be also used as a reactant in the synthesis of DHBARF polymer aerogels by reacting with formadehyde (F) and resorcinol (R).
