| General description: | Whatman Anotop non-sterile syringe filters with Anapore membrane are offered in 10 and 25 mm sizes and are designed for efficient filtration prior to ion chromatography. Ion chromatography analysis often benefits from filtration as a sample preparation step. When done correctly, filtration can remove particles that might otherwise cause unwanted peaks or damage the chromatography column. Therefore, an ion exchange chromatography method should include a high-quality syringe filter. Cytiva′s Anotop IC syringe filters have an aluminum-based Anopore membrane that minimizes anion leaching during ion chromatography filtration. Leaching is validated at 10−30 ppb for major anions such as fluoride, chloride, bromide, sulfate, nitrite, and nitrate (see product data). Anotop syringe filters are a versatile solution for most organic solvents and aqueous samples. Aluminum-based Anopore membranes are inorganic and designed to be inert and function in wide temperature ranges. |
