| General description: | PTFE sealing tape is a chemically inert, self-adhesive tape used in all laboratory plumbing connections, including regulators, control valves, purge valves, in-line flowmeters, impurity traps, gas filters, and ground glass joints. When properly applied to gas or liquid plumbing threads, the PTFE sealing tape fills in gaps between the threads and creates a gas/water-tight seal. When used with ground-glass joints, desiccators, and bell jars, it provides a vacuum-tight seal that is easily removed even after long periods of time. |
