This is a hand-blown, 200 mL scale replica of the glass retort depicted on the cover painting of the new 2007-2008 Aldrich Handbook of Fine Chemicals. The painting is titled The Alchemist, by American painter Newell Convers Wyeth (1882-1945).

Each retort is numbered and is supplied in a wooden gift box with a Certificate of Authenticity.
