| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Plasmin is a direct acting fibrinolytic enzyme present in blood. Its activity is independent of plasminogen presence during fibrinolysis. Plasmin is rapidly and irreversibly inhibited by α-2 antiplasmin. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Serine endopeptidase that hydrolyzes peptide and ester bonds at the carboxylic side of Lys or Arg; more selective than trypsin. |
