D-(+)-Glucuronic acid γ-lactone has been used as a reference standard for the determination of D-(+)-glucuronic acid γ-lactone in energy drinks by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole
tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS).
