| Application: | Suitable for the derivatization of a-ketoacids, amines, amino acids, cycloserine, histamine and metabolites, phenylethylamines, phosphatidylserines and tryptamines. |
| Application: | Suitable for the derivatization of α-ketoacids, amines, amino acids, cycloserine, histamine and metabolites, phenylethylamines, phosphatidylserines and tryptamines. BSA+TMCS may be used as a derivatizing reagent for the determination of steryl glycosides in biodiesel using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. |
| Features and Benefits: | • BSA+TMCS has good solvent properties and can function as a silylation reagent without additional solvents. • Alternatively, the mixture is very soluble in most commonly used silylation solvents. • This combination is extremely sensitive to moisture and should be handled under dry conditions. |
| General description: | BSA+TMCS combination, is one of the most commonly used silylating reagents. BSA is readily used for silylating a wide range of functional groups such as non-sterically hindered alcohols, amides, amines, amino acids, carboxylic acids, and enols. TMCS is a silylation catalyst always used with other silylation reagents to increase the reactivity in derivatization of alcohols, alkaloids, amines, biogenic amines, carboxylic acids, phenols, and steroids. |
