Application: LB Agar Vegitone is free of animal derived material. It is used for the cultivation and maintenance of recombinant strains of Escherichia coli and may be used for routine cultivation of not particularly fastidious microorganisms.
Footnote: We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
General description: LB Agar, Vegitone may be used as a culture media for the cultivation of Agrobacterium tumefaciens for the production of transgenic Citrus plants via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.

Preparation Note: Suspend 35.0 g in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Dispense as desired.
