| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Methyl violet 2B is a cationic dye with a triphenylmethane structure. It acts as a selective dye and facilitates the differentiation of Klebsiella pneumoniae from Enterobacter aerogenes and other gram-negative organisms. Methyl violet 2B is harmful if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through skin, contact may cause damage to skin and eyes. Hence, the dye removal is of great importance. |
