| Application: | 2-Methyl-2-butanol may be used as a solvent in the following processes: • Palladium (II)-catalyzed ortho-C–H olefination of phenylacetic acids. • Rhodium-catalyzed direct C-H functionalization at the C7 position of N-pivaloylindoles. It may also be used in the preparation of 2-chloro-2-methylbutane by reacting with concentrated hydrochloric acid. |
