General description: | Mannitol Fermentation Membranes are substrate-carrying ID membranes used for rapid identification and differentiation of mannitol fermenting microorganisms from mixed flora. The membranes contain chromogenic substrates, which serve as the basis for microbe differentiation by color. The principle is based on the acid production during the fermentation, as indicated by the color change of a pH indicator to yellow. |
