General description: | The product is an acetonitrile solution containing 0.05%v/v trifluoroacetic acid. This pre-blended mobile phase solvent is of high purity that reduces time-consuming preparation and prevents instrument downtime because of impure mobile phases. Trifluoroacetic acid/acetonitrile mobile phase system is generally employed for peptide separation. Acetonitrile (MeCN), an organic solvent has low viscosity, high elution strength and is UV transparent at low wavelength. Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is commonly used as a mobile phase additive. It is a UV transparent, volatile acid that forms hydrophobic negatively charged trifluoroacetate ion. |
