Application:	Eriochrome^® Black T has been used to determine the concentration of Ca²⁺ using complexometric titration method.
General description:	Eriochrome^® Black T is a hydroxyl-arylazo dye and is generally supplied as a monosodium salt. This dye exists as a dark violet powder with green metallic sheen. Eriochrome Black T is soluble in water and alcohol, but insoluble in common organic solvents. It is mainly used as an indicator in ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) method to determine hardness of water.
General description:	Eriochrome^® Black T is used as an indicator for complexometric titrations. It functions as an acid-base indicator. Eriochrome^® Black T forms complex with Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺, but it binds more strongly to Mg²⁺ ions.
