General description: | Albendazole is a benzimidazole derivative used for the treatment of human gastrointestinal helmintiasis. It inhibits microtubule and blocks the glucose uptake that causes depletion of glycogen stores and lowering formation of adinosine triphosphate (ATP) in the larval and adult stages of susceptible parasite. |
