Application:	Brilliant Blue R has been widely used for protein band detection after SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis).Its other applications include: • as a protein stain on epoxy-embedded tissue sections • for quantitative micro densitometry of protein in sections • for staining chromatids, actinin microfilaments, developing neurites, and sperm acrosomes.
