General description: | Complete Volatiles Kit - WP proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. Also referred to as Potable Water or Water Supply sample, this sample is manufactured according to TNI requirements. However, please note, this sample may include non-TNI analytes as well. The lower criteria from the TNI tables mimic the levels common to drinking water samples. Supelco® is a global proficiency testing (PT) provider that manufactures best-in-class environmental and pharmaceutical PT products. Most water PT samples are available as concentrates or ready-to-use volumes giving the end-user flexibility in selecting samples that will fit their exact needs. Our WS program is designed to meet the quality assurance requirements in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), thereby ensuring the analytical competence of your laboratory or drinking water facility. These samples are typically provided in duplicate for use in case of lab mishap, for QC purposes or to analyze multiple methods. Type of PT Scheme: Water analysis - Water Supply (WS) Matrix: Water Supply/Drinking water Analyte/s: Randomly contains a minimum 80% of the analytes listed. Values of analytes vary lot to lot. All information regarding the use of Complete Volatiles Kit - WS can be found in the reporting packet which will be available to download at PT Portal ![]() |

Preparation Note: | Description • The PT sample is provided as a 1.5 mL concentrate. • The solvent is methanol. • The PT sample is not preserved. Sample Preparation Please read all instructions prior to preparation: • Fill a 100 mL Class A Volumetric Flask to volume with organic-free reagent water. • Using a gas-tight micro syringe, withdraw 20 μL of solution from PE1358 and inject into the expanded area of the flask, well below the surface of the water. • Stopper the flask and mix by gentle inversion 3 times. Excessive mixing will result in loss of volatiles and should be avoided. • This represents the sample for analysis. |
