General description: | Trace Metals - WS (Whole Volume) Sample 2 proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. Also referred to as Potable Water or Water Supply sample, this sample is manufactured according to TNI requirements. However, please note, this sample may include non-TNI analytes as well. The lower criteria from the TNI tables mimic the levels common to drinking water samples. Preparation Note: | Description • This sample is provided in a 500 mL HDPE bottle as a whole volume standard. • The sample is preserved in 0.15% (v/v) nitric acid. • The sample storage temperature 18 - 20 ºC. • The expected concentration ranges can be found in the TNI fields of testing document. Sample Preparation • Shake the Trace Metals bottle prior to opening. • It is suggested that your matrix match the acid concentration of your calibration materials with the PT sample. • Analyze using your normal methods. |
