General description: Sodium pyrophosphate tetrabasic decahydrate functions as a sequestering, clarifying, buffering agent and water softener. It is used as an emulsifier, pH buffer and dough conditioner. Sodium pyrophosphate tetrabasic acts as a thickening agent in puddings and tartar control agent in toothpaste.
