General description: | Herbicides in Soil - PT proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. This product is produced according to TNI requirements. However, please note, this sample may include non-TNI analytes as well. Preparation Note: | Description • The PT sample size provided is 50 g of soil. • The soil has been chemically stabilized to minimize the degradation of the sample. • The PT sample has been sized to 100 mesh. • The required storage condition is 4 ºC. • The evaluation of results will be based on study statistics as required by TNI. • The sample has been intentionally prepared with an apparent headspace. Sample Preparation • Mix prior to use. • Recommended minimum sampling size is 10 g. • Extract as defined in SW846, Extraction Method 3540B, 3541, 3550A or similar method. Note: Sample extracts and calibration solutions should be in the same solvent. • Determine the percent moisture content of the sample and report results on a dry weight basis. • Report all results on a dry weight basis. • Analyze the extract using the appropriate method for which you are seeking accreditation. • Determine the concentration of the analytes listed, and report your results report your results in the PT Portal. • The method used must be reported. |
