Application: | TCLP Semi-VOAs - PT is a soil/hazardous waste proficiency testing material, suitable for testing TCLP Semi - Volatiles (VOAs) in soil samples. Our soil PT samples behave as real samples; and, unless there is no alternative, are not simply spikes added to a blank soil. They are designed to meet the requirements of national, regional and state-specific accreditation bodies (TNI, USEPA, UKAS) for quality assurance and continuous improvement. Have any questions? Preparation Note: | Description • The organic PT sample is a soil containing TCLP extractable BNA′s/Pesticides. • The sample size provided is 225 g of soil. • The soil has been chemically stabilized to minimize the degradation of the sample. • The PT sample has been sized to 100 mesh. • Store sample at room temperature. Once opened sample should be used within 3 months or by the expiration date on the label, whichever is sooner. • At least two analytes are above the regulatory limit. Some analytes may not be present at a recoverable level. If an analyte is below your detection limit report less than a "<" and your detection limit, or "0". • The sample has been intentionally prepared with an apparent headspace. Preparation Instructions • Determine the extraction fluid by carefully following the procedures as defined in SW846, 3rd Edition, Extraction Method 1311. • Analyze the extract using the method for which you are seeking accreditation. • Determine the concentration of the analytes listed and report your results in the PT portal. • The analysis method must also be reported. • If the Cresol isomers cannot be differentiated, the total Cresol amount may be reported. NOTE: Since several analytes are present at regulatory levels, the extract may require dilution prior to analysis, it is recommended that the extract is screened prior to primary GC or GC/MS analysis. Report analyte concentration as mg/L of extract. |
