Biochem/physiol Actions: L-Threonine is an essential amino acid. It is involved in the synthesis of mucin, a protein supporting intestinal function and integrity. L-threonine has a role in the immune system, in O-linked glycosylation, protein phosphorylation and glycine synthesis.
