Application: | Ammonium bromide may be used in the preparation of organic ammonium tribromides. It may also be used as a reagent during the transformation of benzyl derivatives of halides, amines, alcohols, and aldehydes into respective nitriles via oxidation. |
General description: | Laser excited Raman spectral study reveals that 1?0 torsional transitions of the NH4+ ion in phase III of NH4Br were observed at 331cm-1. Neutron diffraction studies have been conducted to evaluate the P-T phase diagram of NH4Br and its deuterated form (ND3Br). |
