| Application: | Potassium fluoride dihydrate may be used in the following processes: • As a source of active fluoride ion when used in combination with tetra-n-butylammonium chloride. • To generate tetrabutylammonium fluoride in situ by reacting with tetrabutylammonium hydrogensulfate, which can catalyze the esterification of carboxylic acids with alkyl halides and ring-opening of aziridines. • In combination with chlorotrimethylsilane for the desilylation of O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl ethers. |
